SVGTCCU Ltd. Hiring Loan Officer
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. (SVGTCCU) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Loans Officer.
Job Summary
The Loan Officer is responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring and the closing of loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. The role involves conducting loan appraisals and approvals within the policies of the Credit Union and provides guidance to loan applicants.
Responsibilities
Verify accuracy of information on loan application.
Assess credit reports and value of collateral.
Approve loans and establish conditions within the guidelines of the Loans policy and approved limits.
Notify members on status of loan applications on a timely basis.
Maintain reports on loans processed showing account numbers, purpose and amount.
Prepare the required documentations for the disbursement of approved loans.
Monitor loan accounts to ensure that they are current.
Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information.
Evaluate credit worthiness of loan applicants.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
Education and Experience
First Degree in Management Studies, Finance, Banking, or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking/financial services.
At least 3 years in banking, credit analysis, or customer service is highly preferred.
Experience with Emortelle will be an asset.
